In today’s world, if it’s not online, it doesn’t exist. 10 years ago, when I started in the digital marketing field, I had no idea how dominant our online marketplace would become.
I recently had a client share with me that the fact that they hadn’t had their website set up had lost them two high value prospects, in a matter of a few weeks.
Getting your website and social media content planning set up always seems like the least important thing on a long to do list. But it cannot be that way. You need to proactively communicate about your business and give people a place to come to if they’re interested in learning more.
It sounds overwhelming but there’s some good news here too: you can do it iteratively. In other words, you can create your first version, and grow into a better and better form as you develop your business, niche or portfolio.
The point is to make a start. In our post-lockdown, digitally driven society, we need to show up online and we need to have a website where clients can see our work and call on our services.
